Verizon’s Galaxy Camera to receive minor update

Verizon has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Camera will be receiving an update over the next few days to build JZO54K. It’s a minor update and seems to be aimed at adding more bloatware to the smartphone camera in the form of Verizon’s VZ Messaging application, which will now be loaded by default, whether you want to use it or not.

The update will also make changes to the way the setup wizard works on first use – now, the device will wait for the SIM to be activated before letting you proceed past the first screen in the wizard, meaning you’ll be waiting a bit longer than usual. The update should become available to all users over the next few days, through the standard phased rollout procedure.
