Back when the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition was announced at the IFA in Berlin, attentive onlookers were quick to spot a tablet-optimized version of the official Twitter app in one of the presentation videos. The app was later leaked to the masses, and now, with the official launch of the tablet in the market, the app has been officially released by Twitter as an exclusive to the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition.
The tablet-optimized app will be made available to all Android tablets by the end of the year, but for now, it is exclusive to the new Galaxy Note 10.1 and comes with a few unique features that Twitter worked on with Samsung. These include Multi-screen View, which lets users run Twitter and another app side-by-side at the same time, an improved widget that shows more content than the phone version of the app, and an Illustrate feature that will allow users to draw on top of images in the gallery before sharing them on Twitter, with support for the S Pen.
You can download the tablet version of Twitter on your Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition right away (well, provided you’ve gotten your hands on the tablet), from the Google Play Store. Support for more Android tablets is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
