Soon after releasing the earnings guidance, Samsung today has released their Q3 2013 results. According to the figures released, Samsung reached an operating profit of 10.16 trillion won on a sales of 59.08 trillion won. The net profit for the quarter remained at 8.24 trillion won.
Samsung’s figures slightly improved when you compare it with the Q2 2013 figures but its the semiconductor business that showed some good growth along with Samsung’s mobile phone unit. The operating profit of the mobile phone business stood at 6.7 trillion won, thanks to strong sales from the entry-level and mid-range segment and the semiconductor business profit reached 2.06 trillion, which recorded its highest in three years.
