Sprint has announced that it will be offering the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 to consumers starting October 11th, for $49.99 on a two-year contract either as a new connection or upgrade. The white color model will be made available at first, followed by the black version in “time for the holidays.” The $49.99 price tag is mentioned as introductory in the press release, so it seems Sprint will be asking for more moolah a few weeks after launching the tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 sports a 7-inch 1024×600 screen, 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 3.15-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage expandable via a microSD slot, 4,000mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Not an attractive list of specs, but LTE connectivity and Samsung’s value-added software features do make up for the unimpressive hardware.
